three words:

pumkin.spice.coffee. now that it's fall, i've begun my
every morning ritual of having my pumpkin spice coffee,
which may i remind you, is a little piece of heaven mixed
with sugar and milk. d'accord; while i was pondering life,
i found my next question...

why are both (or all three to be politically correct) men and women so perplexed about one another? is it that the only person in our lives who will ever truly get us just happen to be the loves of our lives? what if you never find them..and if you, will you understand this?

i certainly believe i have found the person who understands. but have you? if not bonne chance!

Ah, a laborless labor day.

fact: that picture is of a dumbo octopus. they live in the deep ocean and use their tentacles (which truly aren't used like tentacles in regular octopuses) to move and of course their adorable ears are used to move too...below is the video of the little dumbo octopus inking in finding nemo- which by the way squid and octopus ink doesn't look like that. it's brown and clumps in water.

With surviving hurricane earl (which was pretty weak), it was a pretty lazy weekend.

So let me cut to the chase...my question for today is-
Why does money matter so much? Why do we have to work money?

..i know. i know. nothing would get done. but still...why does it matter?  If people worked for food and shelter-like serfs- then maybe things would be very different in the world today. The poor would have to work- instead of sucking the system dry for all twenty of their children and themselves.
My point is- today at the local épicerie a woman was using her welfare checks to buy junk food...so the moral of the story is, i'm actually paying for her and her gras children to eat (and they were gras).
oh the ridiculousness of the world..fino a domani

Hurricane Earl

 Freaky Friday- Mice surfing

In the typical RI fashion, everyone's getting their milk, bread and gas in case their house gets flooded..
make sense? Hm. Well that's just the Rhode Islander way, we alllll make no sense.
The hurricane is supposed to hit but the only thing I've seen is the crazy Rhode Islanders and rain.
So i think I have also decided to change this blog- since no one seems to be following it. oh well.

q: Besides the hurricane- is anyone out there?

The glass is half full

Vrai. (True) People will always listen to the negative and take it to heart rather than the good.
As I've been told many times by my elders, people are more likely to give you negative feedback then compliment you on a job well done. It's strange, but it's like people are more equipped to deal with the negative than the positive. People brace themselves for the worse, always, because we're so used to the negative. But if you give someone a compliment they have NO idea how to take it; it's almost akward. Go figure.
So my question is...

Why is it the negative seems to power over the positive? Have we forgotten the power of the positive? ...

...my new favorite feminist empowering song...plus it's positive :)

Fair mais la bouche...

Why is it that we find ourselves in a predicament where we can't say what we really want to?
It's so frustrating to want to blurt out something (even if it's not nice, but it's the truth).
It seems that the we are more inclined to be nice and hold our tongues.

Well, here's my question pour le demain...

Why is it we would rather lie than tell the truth? Are we so geared towards being liked than actually voicing our TRUE opinions?

Do we all want to be liked SO bad that we have to lie...if this is so, I wish it were the other way around.
Here's something a little colorful but still it's honest...fino a domani

la musique fait le monde circuler

Music makes the world go 'round...

Why is it we listen to music? Is it because we feel the need to keep our minds busy with a crazy beat or a smooth song?
These days, it seems the art of music is evolving. But what happened to the days of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack? Whatever happened to people treasuring Mozart, Bach and all those geniuses? Is there any room left in the world for these oldies but extremely goodies.   It seems they've been left behind in the dust by a whole new type of music that's not created by a band but a computer.
What I'm trying to say is that even as our music cravings evolve for different music we can't forget our musical past...
So my true question is....
              Why music? Why listen?

...a little frank for everyone...Fly me to the moon
